PAC is a Parent Advisory Council. Every Hawthorne parent, caregiver and guardian is automatically a part of our school’s PAC. Our executives are elected in, and the program coordinators have specific roles. It is a whole team of volunteers.

Our role is to work in partnership with the teachers and school staff to create a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, live and laugh within.

The PAC supports the enrichment of the elementary school experience for our children through volunteering at the school, coordinating events or programs, and fundraising.

The PAC aims to actively and positively support Hawthorne school spirit and social responsibility. We are always open to new ideas, thoughts and suggestions that help to make Hawthorne the very best place for all our children.

The PAC meets 4-5 times each school year to hear updates from our
program leads, the PAC President, the PAC Treasurer and the School Principal. The meetings are the best way for our Hawthorne families to get updates and be able to ask questions. We welcome suggestions on how the PAC can support our school in new ways. Coming to a meeting does NOT mean you are signing up for anything – don’t worry. But you are always welcome to help with something you care about.
